The mitzvah of Shema is pretty Jewish. Shema Yisrael Hashem Elokenu Hashem Echad. Shema Yisrael is a constant mitzvah to know that Hashem is one. When we say that Hashem is one we don't mean that Hashem is one in the category of Gods. Jews are into hardcore monotheism. God is one and there is nothing but Hashem.
