How To Get Your Prayers Answered!

Hey friends! What's up Chevra?! What if the way to get your prayers answered is hiding in how you learn Torah, and what does grace have to do with it? We begin Torah Aleph of Likutei Moharan, the most basic of the basics, and it is all about having our prayers answered. We start with the Jew who told Reb Nachman he was davening but his prayers were not being answered. Reb Nachman told him to learn Torah after davening, and when he said he did not understand what he was learning, the answer was to keep learning. We look at the backdrop of the time: the Chassidim stressing prayer, the Misnagdim stressing Torah, and the Haskalah pushing Jews to assimilate. Then we dive into chein v'chashivus, the grace and importance of Yisrael, which has fallen into places of false charm, and how Torah lifts it back up. The proof is the verse about the beloved doe and the gazelle of grace, which teaches that Torah has to be loved by us to bring chein.
