Greek (Yavan) culture rose with its fake external "light" — philosophy, sports, assimilation — decreeing no Torah, Shabbat, or circumcision, pushing Hellenization. The darkest moment? Translating Torah to Greek (Septuagint) to strip its divine inner essence, reducing it to secular wisdom like any university subject, detaching it from God and copying parts into Greek philosophy without credit. 🤯 This created superficial allure, pulling people toward "looks maxing" over soul growth. But exactly then, Hashem's compassion shone through Chanukah's miracle!
