Hey friends! What's up Chevra?! What if the greatest sign of wisdom isn't how deep you can go — but how far down you're willing to bring it? In this shiur we dig into clown number three in our series on Jewish leadership — and honestly, this one hits different. We're talking about the ability to take the deepest Torah you know and make it relatable to the lowest common denominator. Not because you're dumbing it down, but because THAT is the real measure of a leader and a mashpia. We learn this directly from Moshe Rabenu himself. The Torah says he brought the luchos down — and the language used, as pointed out by Rav Lawrence Kellerman, suggests he pushed them DOWN. Moshe had just spent 40 days on the mountain with no food, no water, receiving the highest levels of Torah imaginable. He could have come down and given the most fantastically deep shiur ever heard. Instead, he brought it all the way down to where Am Yisrael actually was. That's the avodah. The Rambam drives this home in the mitzvah of sippur yetzias Mitzrayim — the telling of the Pesach story. The whole point of the Seder, the Rambam says, is to tell it in the clearest, simplest language possible. Simple enough for your three-year-old. No FDW — Fantastically Deep Wisdom — at the Seder table. And Rav Moshe Chaim shares a story from his time as a bachur going to a very big rabbi's Seder, expecting something otherworldly, and finding something even more powerful: total simplicity, total grace, total connection. We also bring in the analogy of Moshe Rabenu teaching alef-beis. When Moshe says 'alef,' does he not know everything there is to know about the alef — the kabbalah, the hidden meanings, all of it? Of course he does. But he gives you the alef at YOUR level. That's not a limitation on him — that's him being MORE. This is the model for every rebi, every teacher, every one of us in the Chevra who will one day be in a position of sharing Torah with someone else. If this resonated with you, share it with someone who's in a teaching role — and subscribe so you never miss a shiur from the Chevra. ---------------------------------------------------------- 🔹Join Rabbi Moshe Chaim's Exclusive Content Sign up here 👉 https://www.youtube.com/@ChevraRavMosheChaim/join 🔹Join Rabbi Moshe Chaim's Private Chizzuk Group Sign up here 👉 https://subscribepage.io/join-the-chevra 🔹Visit the Website 👉 https://www.ravmoshechaim.com/ 🔹Newsletter 👉 https://ravmoshechaimchevra.substack.com/ 🔹Discover Beautiful Sacred Art 👉 https://bit.ly/chevra-art 🔹Join us in Yeshiva - in Jerusalem!
