People that are very good at business would make partnerships with the people who are very good at learning and teaching. The business people would give money to those learning and teaching. The business people would often feel that they got a better end of the deal thinking, "You're learning Torah which is lifting up the world, and I could have a hand in that?" With God's help, Jews have been able to make a lot of money and Baruch Hashem still are. A lot of that money goes towards Torah learning.
