When it describes the Jews traveling, it says "vayachanu" (they encamped) in the plural, but then switches to "vayichan" (he encamped) in the singular when they reach Sinai. What's the deeper meaning behind this grammatical shift? We examine how the Jewish people achieved a level of unity and spiritual preparation that was unprecedented. The three days of preparation before receiving the Torah weren't just about ritual purity, they were about becoming a people ready to receive the ultimate gift.
