Shalom Aleichem Chevra! What's up everyone? What really gives the Jewish people their power, and why did we need flags before receiving the Torah? In this incredible shiur, we dive deep into Parshas Bamidbar and discover something amazing about Jewish unity and divine mission. We explore the Rashba's beautiful teaching about why Parshas Bamidbar comes right before Shavuos. The Jewish people saw the angels in heaven, each carrying flags that represented their divine missions, and they said 'We want flags too!' So Hashem gave each tribe their own flag, their own unique mission within the greater Jewish purpose. We learn that angels are messengers bringing God's transmission to the world in a reduced form, and each angel has one mission represented by its flag. Just like the angels, every single one of us has our own personal flag, our own mission in this world. The key to receiving Torah is unity. When the Torah says the Jews 'encamped like one man with one heart,' that's our power source. Even Haman knew this truth - when Jews are unified, we're unstoppable, but when we're scattered and fighting, the forces of darkness can gain strength. We also touch on the concept of borer, the cosmic refinement process happening in our times, and how we can connect to truly connected people to elevate ourselves.
